For those of you who haven't heard yet, Judy is officially old. At 15 years and 8 months of age, she has been diagnosed with severe kidney issues. As of today, she is doing much better than she was a couple of days ago, however, it's become time to accept the fact that she won't be around to take care of me in my old age.
It's been a really difficult week for me as this reality has slapped me right in the face, but I have been unusually lucky. Very few dogs her size live that long, so I've truly been blessed to have had Judy in my life for 15 wonderful years.
As for now, Judy is eating, relatively energetic, and all is fine, however, I did want to let everyone know that there will one day be a very sad posting here and I wanted to prepare everyone for it.
From now on, Judy is getting ice cream every day, so it isn't all bad!
