Due to popular demand, I am finally starting my second book:
"Travels with Topper: In Search of the Bard (An American Story!)"
*******************************
"By this unheedful, desperate, wild adventure..." Henry VI, Part I, Duke/Earl of Somerset
Shakespeare was full of it. He had words, words, words….and more words. He was the greatest poet, playwright, and storyteller of all time. A spinner of yarns. A teller of tales. An architect of romance. A hero of history. A possible fraud. An icon.
Vicki Cain, the author of "Travels with Judy: In Search of Steinbeck's America," is announcing a new road adventure to be launched in the spring of 2014. So girdle up your britches, and tighten your corset strings, because this time she's taking on Shakespeare--the American version.
Vicki and her Australian Shepherd, Topper, will load up their Jeep and explore a 200-year-old mystery with words from The Bard of Avon as their guide! Our amateur sleuths will lead us across America from the foothills of the Rockies, over the Mississippi, and through the vast plains of Middle America. They will climb the mighty Appalachia, and venture deep into the majestic forests of New England. From there, who knows where the mystery will lead? Let's just hope it will be somewhere fun because, as the Bard says, "I was born to speak all mirth and no matter." --Beatrice, "Much Ado About Nothing"
Anticipated publication date: Fall 2014
